What it is.
PRP hair restoration uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood. After the sample is processed to concentrate the platelets, the PRP is injected into areas of scalp thinning. Marissa assesses your hair-loss history and scalp before recommending treatment.
At our Fort Lauderdale clinic near Las Olas, your consultation starts with the cause and pattern of your hair loss. PRP may help some people with thinning hair, but it is not appropriate for every type of hair loss and results vary.
Your treatment plan covers the blood draw, preparation of your PRP, scalp injections, aftercare, and follow-up. Repeat sessions and maintenance may be recommended based on your response. We discuss expected progress and cost before treatment.
Marissa also provides microneedling for facial skin concerns, Botox for expression lines, and dermal fillers for volume and contour. These are separate services from scalp PRP; discuss each goal during your consultation so your care can be planned appropriately.
